LIMITED ENROLMENT

COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT PLANNING & SURGICAL PLACEMENT OF IMPLANTS VIA COMPUTER GUIDED TECHNOLOGY

DRS. TASSO IRINAKIS, ALI SADEGHI, and KEVIN AMINZADEH of the West Coast Institute

Implant dentistry has entered a new era; one of artificial intelligence and expert pre-planning. The Complete Clinician course offers a unique opportunity to learn from expert, interdisciplinary mentorship and supervision of a team of outstanding board-certified specialists, including a prosthodontist, a periodontist and an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who are dedicated to supporting you in your success.

The Complete Clinician course caters to novice implant dentists eager to embark on the rewarding journey of implants; implant placers with limited experience who wish to progress to the next level, and to implant surgeons who would benefit from incorporating computer-guided technology into their implant practice.

With two unique offerings; three full days of didactic and live surgery demos or five full days of didactic, live surgery demos, patient screening and clinical hands-on patient treatment, this course provides exceptional training to learn how to diagnose and perform implant surgery.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS AND OBJECTIVES:

  • Observe two live demo surgeries performed by an oral surgeon and a periodontist
  • Participate in full treatment planning of each individual case
  • Learn to place implants using computer-guided implant placement, a cornerstone of this course
  • Receive mentorship, support and one-on-one supervision by a specialist for every surgery
  • Learn best practices of intraoral scanning, 3D facial mapping and digital smile design and 3D printing
  • Learn the most efficient digital workflows and practice protocols
  • Immerse yourself in a full day of live surgeries, where each participant will perform the surgical placement of up to two implants
  • Tuition includes: breakfast, lunch and course handouts.

Out-of-province dentists attending the five day program must obtain a temporary license through the CDSBC to attend the hands-on surgical course. Please visit the CDSBCwebsite to apply; cdsbc.org

SCHEDULE OVERVIEW

HURSDAY (All Registrants): Lectures on various aspects of implant treatment planning, surgery & prosthetics.

FRIDAY (All Registrants): Lectures, including a wide range of clinical cases that are reviewed in detail.

SATURDAY (All Registrants): Additional lectures take place, along with two live demonstration surgeries performed by our board-certified specialists in oral surgery and periodontics..

SUNDAY (5-Day Registrants Only): Meet and greet pre-screened patients. Intra-oral clinical photos will be taken and the Cone Beam CT Scan information will be available. This day is devoted to training all participants in detailed treatment planning of real cases in our program. We will go through several patients’ charts, including photos, CT Scan images, digital/conventional models and computer-guided plans. Each participant will thus have the opportunity to view and participate in the treatment planning of past course surgical cases along with cases from their own upcoming patients. Participants will practice hands-on prosthetics and surgery on models with the appropriate kits and instruments provided by Straumann.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19 OR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20 (5-Day Registrants Only): Implant surgery video refresher. Live patient surgeries performed by participants under one-on-one supervision via computer-guided technology

5-Day Registrants: Patient Selection for Surgical Weekend

The patient for your surgical session does not need to be selected before the didactic session begins, however having a patient ready enhances your experience. Patients can be provided for out-of-town and out-of-province dentists, if requested in advance. For those who have requested patients, face-to-face meetings and live exams will be arranged between dentists and patients. When this is not possible, a full set of clinical images and diagnostic data will be presented on PowerPoint. The West Coast Institute will follow up with registrants to coordinate patient details and answer questions regarding patient selection.

HERE’S WHAT PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS HAVE HAD TO SAY ABOUT THIS COURSE:

This course went above and beyond all expectations. That it is taught by three different types of specialists to cover three different points of view was terrific – I would recommend this course to anyone with a surgical interest in implants.

This was the perfect course! It provided me with a large base of knowledge to utilize immediately in my practice.

Having three specialists teach on one topic really did make it an all-encompassing education. I will definitely be recommending this course to colleagues of mine.

Awesome instructors, great clinically, amazing throughout!”
